Hopelink's annual "Turkey Trot" returns to downtown Kirkland on Sunday, November 20 to raise money for low-income families in east and north King County who are struggling to get through the challenging winter months.

Drivers should expect traffic delays in downtown Kirkland during the event.

The Turkey Trot includes a 5K walk and "fun run" so that participants can enjoy a leisurely walk or an invigorating run! The course stretches from Marina Park to Carillon Point and back.

Turkey Trot proceeds help Hopelink provide emergency services for low-income families in our community during a time when they face added seasonal pressures - such as higher home heating costs and additional food needs.

Registration festivities for both events begin at 10 a.m. The run starts at 11 a.m. and the walk follows at 11:05 a.m.

You can register online now. Early bird registration (by November 13) is $30 per person and $25 per person with a team miniumum of four. Registration after November 13, including day of event, is $40 per person, or $35 per person for teams of four or more. Strollers and pets are free!

All pre-registered participants will receive a Hopelink Turkey Trot 2011 T-shirt. Runners and walkers alike are encouraged to seek pledges, and those who collect donations of $100 or more will be entered in a drawing for prizes.

Download or view the 2011 Hopelink Turkey Trot Brochure for more information.
