UPDATE: On Tuesday we told you about the fight in Kirkland over annexation. We want to clarify that both sides in this debate have had their signs stolen or vandalized and both sides deny responsibility

You can find more information at this opposition Web site.

----

The campaign committee "Citizens for One Kirkland," which supports the annexation of Kingsgate, Finn Hill, and North Juanita into the city of Kirkland, has made a formal request that opponents stop stealing and damaging their campaign signs.

The group claims that in recent weeks more than 90 percent of the “Annex Yes!” signs have been stolen or have had the word yes covered with the word no, allegedly by annexation opponents.

Voting on annexation is now in progress and will be decided in the Nov. 3 election.
